Pagan-Heathen blog centering on UK-based heathenry but also covering wider pagan issues and paths. The site's remit has now been broadened to cover European pre-Christian history and associated spirituality (historic and reconstructed). First and foremost, though, it is a journal of my journey along my pagan path which is gradually evolving toward an animist perspective. The aim is to promote a positive society inspired by the pre-Christian and non-capitalist cultures of the past.

The Wild Hunt rides no more...
We had a great time with both sets of in-laws getting on famously. Inordinate amounts of food and booze were consumed. Much revelry. Essentially, the quintessential Heathen Yule (capitalised for emphasis).
Now that and our birthdays are passed (my wife's birthday is also in January, four days after mine, I return to my studies (online and otherwise) relating to my heathen spiritual path. While I have been on this path for some time (well over a decade officially, but all my life without having a name for it), I don't kid myself that there aren't more things I have yet to learn.

Back to the motherland
This weekend has been spent reconnecting with the Johnson, Malkinson & Connolly sides of the family back in Lincolnshire. As well as my parents, we visited the new home of my sister an her family. Today, we have my aunty & uncle over.
Sunday lunch will be consumed with the gusto I reserve for my Mam's cooking.
Then, a three hour drive home.
